Third multi silver day this week. Another seated coin.

Hi, all:

Had a great week with three days of multiple silver finds. Earlier this week found an 1841 half dime. Today, the weather turned COLD. Was 17 degrees this AM. At noon it was sunny with temps around 32, so I decided to spend a couple of hours at the small railroad park I found silver in last week. The first dig produced a 1942 Mecruy dime. Following that I started digging wheat pennies one right after another. Finally, the cold was getting to me when the clouds rolled in with a breeze. I cleaned the coins when I got home. Had about twenty coins in all with one Mercury, eight wheats and what looked to be an Indian Head penny, plus some new coins. I started looking at the wheats under high magnification to see what dates I had. When I looked at the "Indian Head" I saw a date of 1853 with arrows on each side. It was so corroded that it looked like a penny, but was, in reality, a seated dime with an "O" mint mark. I cleaned it up as much as I could for the time being so I could take a pic. My new E-Trac is pulling silver coins out of hard hit areas. Gotta love it.

Thanks for looking and keep on diggin'

You are a trooper for dealing with the cold. Nice digs. Did you have any trouble with your screen? I heard the Et screen will get a little problematic in really cold weather.

No problem at all. I had heard the same thing about problems below freezing. I was hunting right at the freezing mark and it worked like it was 80 degrees out.
