Saw this one surfing the bike forum, kind of looks neat for a scooter, I'm checking around for hd riding classes... oj

She had a grocery basket mounted on it. I noticed that she was only riding with one hand on the handle bars...the other hand was holding a cell phone. She had beer in the grocery basket, two six packs. What really caught my attention was the patch on her leather jacket...said "Wild Women's Biker Club." I just thought that you would want to know about it. Kelley (Texas)

to pick 500 lbs of iron off the ground, carry a large tool kit, wear oil proof clothing and ear plugs, all this after you mortgage your house to buy one!

U tube. They have a bunch of video's on there. Plenty of riding schools around also and a lot of bike shops offer them. Our DMV here does also. From basics to advanced.....

Click on this link and see what they have to offer. There are a few police courses on there also that teach you some good stuff that will keep one alive.

U Tube riding video's.

If nothing else you can click on the picture and see all the info and it fills in a lot of blanks about each one....

When the site comes up just scroll down....All kinds of them to check out... IN the sates you can pick your country also....

Geo, been so long since on a bike, do you think turning a 580 lb bike is something I would adapt ok, my other bikes were just putt putts. orlando

I may get used bike first, if not my cup of tea can resale, and hopefully will enjoy and upgrade... I'm just interested really in some summer drives while I'm still young enough to ride... I know the Sportster is a chick bike, but still interested in one... I heard they are very versitile.

in at 875 lbs. Don't let the weight bother you. Once you get used to just keeping it in the balance zone and keep and eye out for holes, you will be fine. Once your moving the weight pretty much goes un noticed. I find if your feet are flat on the ground you have pretty good control of it while still. I have alot of buddies who ride the sportsters. They love them both for looks, sound and pure fun. My way of looking at them as a chic bike is it draws them in for a ride. Not all bad if your looking for the company of a lady. The 1200 cc sportster is a lot more bike but you really don't need it. The additional weight gives a better ride. Sportsters can be had mid winter and early spring for good prices, 5k or less with little miles. Can usually break even on them or even make a few bucks. I seldom buy new bikes. To many deals out there on good, hardely used ones. A lot of harleys are garage queens with few miles. They just like having one. Fro around town, they are great. Long distance, I'd look at something else.
