This can't be good - Deus remote blank screen

Where did you buy it?I dont think any of the dealers on this forum would treat you like that.I have only dealt with NWI (larry) here myself..And i will say his word is 120% .He treats his customers real good. And i know he would go to bat for his customers if the company tried any crap like that. You deserved a free coil, not just a cover..Glad its fixed. The scars will take awhile to heal on this one im sure. Beware where you shop.

I got it at Treasure Mountain Detectors and they've been great. Alas the remote screen went bad and the only US repair shop is Detector Electronics and it had to go there. It's not anything the seller could have done.

Glad to hear that Damianicus. You seem happy with everything then?If thats the case, then all's well that ends well :clapping: Detector electronics is part of metaldetector.com isnt it?Ive had great results dealing with those folks.I bought my Makro cf77 thru them for a great deal, with great service. They went out of the way to call me and make sure I got my package before the weekend of a trip.I appreciate stuff like that.

Just got off the phone with Michael one of their owners they are sending me a $50 gift certificate and said they'd work to not have it happen again. I'm happy.

Excellent!

France will not let their name be tarnished.....

Now what to buy? Hmm......

Yeah well it's nice I had my shipping cost covered and essentially the coil cover I asked for. Guess I'll use it for a 11" coil next season.

Don't waste your money on too many of their accessories...the are pretty much junk. It's ashamed as good a detector as they make that the accessories are junk. I picked up the carry bag, emergency charger and a spare charging clip a while back. The bag is a joke...a huge duffel bag/backpack poorly thought out for carrying the detector in. The emergency charger came with a nifty flashlight...plugged it into the charger...nice and bright...came all to pieces when I unplugged it. The neoprene arm band case for the remote looks like it would be handy but is a pain to use so after one use it's on the shelf.

I'm thinking the battery charging clip will be handy if I ever break the one that came with the detector.

All a bunch of made in China stuff...

Just a heads up...

I also would send a msg to the main factory in france and tell them just how unhappy you are with the crappy service and the need to even get service on a new unit and all the cost for sending such items.....

Yep, SleepyJim is right... If this is not the way it is supposed to look, then the parent company needs to know of the shoddy workmanship they are paying someone to do. Shoddy work can really hurt a companies bottom line.
