Coming along with the trac....22 silver for the month including Franklin half, four quarters (one SLQ) rest in dimes, 5 Indians a huge 50c token, sterling silver baby fork dated 1910, silver ring, Captain Midnight Membership coin from 1940 and tons of wheats and clad. I think my greatest triumph was when I was rogue hunting a block long vacant lot. It was hot and humid but had just rained and cleared back up. I got this quirky signal out in the middle of the lot that made me stop to investigate. It had some depth to it and there was a dead null but a slight twinkle off the null to the left. I worked this "twinkle" for a bit and the CO stayed on 47. I even tried to pinpoint the twinkle and it kept wanting to pinpoint to the null on the right. Any other day I might have moved on because the signal was rather iffy. I was thinking that this might be a tweak off the iron and almost moved on but it had just enough a quality of sound and the CO stayed at 47. Since it wouldn't let me pinpoint, I did the criss cross pinpoint and used my best guesstimate to find center. I dug about a 7" plug and got out the X-1. Null was still to the right about 3:00 in the hole but the most beautiful sound at 12:00. One more little dig and out pops a 1945 Silver Washington. Of course I am so amazed at the events that just took place, I threw off the headphones and headed to the car for a drink of water. I have used the EX2 since 2006 and like that machine immensly.....BUT.....I have a new found respect for the awesome abilities of the Trac....TOTALLY AMAZING!

Great finds! I had almost exactly the same thing happen today. Found a button next to a deep iron null. Had to pinpoint the button location by crisscrossing the good tones just like you did. Yes the Etrac is an impressive machine.

Congratulations on the experience...man, now you'll really be digging up the junk - Thanks for the story! Everybit of education we can get on this forum makes us all better hunters!!

Nice find on your iffy dig. I always dig my high CO numbers and I've done pretty well. Congrats
