Yeah, they are edible, but they settle in like a lead sinker! :heh:

Hi Lorraine, the Polish Donuts look delicious and I've always like the jelly ones! But oh the calories and the weight gain! Gotta stay away from them;, though, are I would look like a mountain instead of a large hill! I have to stay away from most kinds, as I get heartburn (acid reflux) something terrible! Yuck!

Glad you can post and are with us from time to time!

mmmmmm, I am so hungry and that looks sooooooo gooooooooooodd!!!!!!:rage:

your making me hungry..ok heres the recipe for the chicken sorry i dont have a pic for it yet i misplaced my hubbies cam....SSSHHH...

Baked swiss chicken.

6 boneless skinless chicken halves (1-12 pounds)
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
1/2 cup white wine or chicken broth (I use the chicken broth)
6 slices swiss cheese
1 cup crushed seasoned croutons

Place chicken in a greased 13in x 9in x 2 in baking dish. In a small bowl combine the soup and wine or broth ; pour over chicken. Top with cheese and sprinkle with croutons.

Bake, uncovered at 350 degrees for 35 - 40 minutes or until chicken juices run clear.

Its that simple and a guarentee your fam will love it. I got this recepe out of a lazy chiefs cookbook. Let me know how you like the dish when you make it. I also have a super simple one for a wonderful red potato side dish. Enjoy..

oohhhhhhhh, that sounds awesome, I live by myself and don't cook much, but I will try that recipe out!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's my style......quick-easy-delicious-no mess thanks for the recipe
will try it very soon.

potato green bean medley

4 bacon strips
4 to 6 medium red potatoes, cut into small wedges
1-1/2 cups cut fresh green beans in 1 inch pieces, (I use canned green beans drained, its easier)
3/4 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper

In a large skillet cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove to paper towels; drain, reserving 1 tablespoon of drippings.

To reserved drippings add the potatoes, green beans, water, salt, and pepper. Cover and cook for 15 -20 minutes or until the vegetables are tender. Drain if necessary. Sprinkle with bacon.

This goes well with just about any dish and the kids will eat their green beans....:bouncy:

Hey, you gals sure make a person huuuuuuuungry!! Cliff won't eat chicken and I'm too lazy or Tiiiiiired to do much cooking! But I cook for Cliff! Neither of us eat a lot of meat.....Pastas, taters, yams, vegies and juices are more our style! He makes juice out of apples, raw carrots, leaf spinach, lemon juice, celery and green Bell Peppers every other day.....just too expensive for us to have it every day! Tastes really good too.....until he puts ginger root in it at times.....which I don't like the taste of it then!!

May each of our brothers and sisters stay healty, wealthy and wise.....in Jesus that is with godly wisdom!

God Bless!
Betty

Ma Betty,

You and Cliff eat a very healthy diet.

Hank likes to make juices like that also.

May God bless you and Cliff and grant you health and happiness every day !

I would SemperFi61 , if I could get Hank to stop "wolfing" them down! :yo:

.....Pastas, taters, yams, vegies and juices are more our style. ok then betty i have a very good and simple potato dish for you.

Company Potato Casserole

5 cups cooked cubed peeled potatoes
1-1/2 cups sour cream
1-1/4 cup shredded swiss cheese, divided
1/2 cup shredded carrot
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
1 teaspoon salt.
1/2 teaspoon dill weed
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika

In a large bowl combine the potatoes, sour cream, 1 cup of cheese, carrot, parsley, salt, dill and pepper.

Transfer to a greased 8-inch square baking dish. sprinkle withpaprika and remaining cheese. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 25 - 35 minutes or until bubbly. Seems like alot of sour cream but I made this for super bowl sunday and even my friend who will not touch sour cream loved it. Cant really taste it much.
