It's just that we've had many attempts in the past with gold coins in particular so people are naturally suspicious...

That's the answer... Post the picture and end it here. Coin on top of May 2005 calendar would do it for me... :D Nice coin too.. Can't wait..

I am the one who took the photos with my 4 mega pixel minolta dimage G400 set at
max resolution. The original file size is over 1 and 1/2 mega pixels, but I guess uploading such a huge file is the only way for everyone to believe it. I always shrink my files and save them as a different name, but Jim shrunk these himself. I don't know how he got that file name, but I can assure you that the pictures are legit. The date on my original file is correct as you can hopefully see now. I found the 1885 V Nickel a few posts down, and I ran that photo through my mgi photo suite to resize and stitch together. That one doesn't even shown a date at all when you hover over the image, but I guarantee I just found it.

Shaina is my 3 year old grand daughter. The file got saved to one with some pictures of the kids and i never renamed it. This is shaina.

One guy actually lifted a picture of a coin for sale on EBAY and got caught dead to rights. The guys were just asking questions and I thought of a good way to show it was modern would be the calendar. Not even proof to be honest but it would have relaxed them. Your daughter is way cute and you should be very proud of your find. I know you are a bit mad and don't have a thing to prove but you should just step back and look at what they saw. If you guys ever have a big picture and don't have an optimizer email it to me and I'll fix it up so it will load fast. No problem.

Golddigger actually lost a "Find of the Month" contest with a gold coin he found in front of me. No one really believed he found it either. The good news is it's a gold coin and better than any prize you'll win here.

Hope you decide better of leaving for good... Guvner..

Like Guvner said, it's not the first time someone has tried to post something they really didn't find, especially a gold coin. I really wouldn't take any offense. If I found a gold coin I would be more than willing to have my picture taken with it... :D Congrats!

Again, awesome find! You ARE the man!

Hope this photo will put this to rest. A guy shouldn't have to prove his finds like this, but here is a scanned photo of my camera back. Hopefully it's viewable to all concerned. Gary I didn't receive my activation email after re-registering last week. I'll email you.

You registered under SovExuser.

You should be fine now. Thanks for the photo's. Sorry there were doubts sprayed... Please apologise to your cousin for me.

All the best... Guvner..

I only asked the Question about the Name and the Date on the PIC!
At no time did I think the coin had not been dug!
The Big Pic showed all the right signs of Scratches from being in the ground!
And I did say it was a Nice find In my first post!
I am very Glad to see that you went the extra mile to show everyone it was YOU that found the coin!

By the way your Grandaughter could have found it and that would have been fine also!
Please do not stop posting your finds because someone ask Questions!
You would be missed!
CONGRATS AGAIN!
