this is what dreams are made of.

Jim,
I've been reading and posting to various newsgroups for over nine years and one thing they all have in common is... for every 50 or so legitimate well meaning posts... there is at least one scam, flamer, spoof posting... etc.

To the people that post the spoofs... to them it's nothing a form of entertainment. For the good guys who post the legitimate post and then get accused of being a spoof... it can definitely piss a person off. I know it did me. I've been there (read on)

I'm sure you've hear the story about the guy who finds the 57 T-Bird with only 5,000 miles on it under a tarp in some old barn, or fantasizes about finding a box full of coins or a treasure chest from a couple hundred years ago... or a little closer to reality, finding a near mint condition Double Eagle! While it can happen... when it does... it will always bring out member of the Spoof Patrol.

I know what it feels like to have your credibility questioned. Six years a fellow coworker and his wife got into a "nasty" fight over some "gifts" she felt the need to hang on to. The problem is the gifts were from a earlier fianc
