if it has great iron resolution in disc mode and boost mode it could be awesome as a relic hunter and jewelry hunter. I hope this thing is a good one.It looks solid I like the S-Pole.Looks informative on the display . if its as quick as a f-75 and has good discriminator on it i can put it to use in some house sites.

Hoping its a good one

It's shown with the 5"DD coil. Which isn't a bad coil for nugget hunting in a known patch. I've asked Mr Bill to find out when it will become available with the 10" eliptical DD coil for folks like me. Maybe Steve H will run one and give a report while we wait on the 10" coil.

Hope you've got out more than me. I think I was only able to get about 6 hours of detecting time in for the whole month of September :sadwalk:

or any other highly mineralized soils?? It did say it has disc right? Most "gold" units are made to be used in harsh minerals, & I like the sound of 19khz too...........
Many use PI's like Infiniums in the red clays of Virginia, and I do too but even with tones, you still have to dig everything or you'll have all buttons, no bullets, & have left belt plates in the ground......

Like others have said, the 19khz with all metal ID might really be something!! I hunt in the red clay stuff and I guarantee you when they come out I will be down at North GA Relics looking at one. The TDI pulse machine is okay but I feel a ton more comfortable with Fisher machines and this one has me on the edge of my seat.

At 19 Khz it should hit larger targets at depth better than the higher frequency gold machines and handle harsh ground better as well. Only time will tell.

Tom they have a optional 11" coil, so they say.

They have re-did over the spec. sheet I posted above. Listing the coil option, and recalling the detector a multi-purpose unit.

Hi,

Bill beat me to it. Obviously Mike has been following the threads and decided to get more than just nuggets into the advertising. But we will all have to wait to see how it does in the real world.

The machine itself is interesting enough. But it is the price point that really makes me take notice. It is about time we saw some less expensive nugget detectors. The trend has been the other way for too long. Good little entry units like the Diablo went away a long time ago. Hopefully the new Gold Bug brings real performance to the table along with its low price.

I am glad to see Fisher bring out a gold detector in that price range. Of course Garrett has had the Scorpion since 1989 and White's has just released the GMZ in the $500 price range as well.

Thanks Fisher!
