Eric,
Thanx for takin time to read my post. I recently purchased a used Garrett Sea Hunter Mark II. Went to a local lake last weekend and didnt have much luck in locating anything of value...Just wondering if there is a standard setting I can set my controls at to enable me to use this at the ocean. I prefer working the wet sand at water line and at low tide (preferably low tide) as I have been told that is the best opportunity to find the good finds!!

There is no "standard" setting. Best bet would be to read the owners manual a few times, and then read it again.

Try to stay out of the discrete discrimination mode if your looking for jewelry.

It will take a few outings to gain the feel of the unit, don't give up, all detectors have a learning curve.
