goin up to my in laws' in West Branch-takin the detectors;firing thgem up for the first time this year...found an1882 Indian Head penny there a couple years ago;and some wheat pennies recently-I JUST KNOW there are more goodies to find there....Just might walk back to that old trash dump ;with a shovel-AND look around for some more nice old bottles;or maybe another Hopalong Cassidy spoon;or another cap gun;like I found last year there!!...I guess the in-laws'place used to be an old homestead-Ive found the back to a pocket watch in the driveway;and the guts to it 10 feet away....DEFINITELY a potential for finding a stash of rainy-day money tucked away in a jar or a can there;its eluded me so far...THATS where I found that Cottage Cheese bottle form a dairy that operated in West Branch in the late '30s-just layin in the ditch out front-Probably been there for 50+years when I found it-According to the West Branch Historical Society; They have never seen one;only read about them in the W.B.history book-They say its probably Extremely Rare;'cause it has the dairy name, the owner's name;the phone#(3 diigits-goes WAY back) and the product (Cottage Cheese) embossed into the bottle-NO LABEL of any kind....How about if I take some pics of it;and post 'em on here for you all to see?One other question:HOW can I make all the details of the bottle embossment stand out??Should I fill it with something dark? (the bottle is crystal clear)..As soon as I figure it out;I will put it on here...

Waiting for the pics ...would love to view these items

I am going to do a speaking engagement at the Kalamazoo Antique Bottle Club in a couple weeks, I will see what I can find out about it. Most people display dairy bottle with little styrafoam beads inside. It looks like milk. Post pics if you can.

If its clear, just hold it up to a light, the embosing will be readable. Can't wait to see some pic's...

at the cost of milk I wouldn't use milk. But it might help to make the embossing visible.
