Thease are some of my finds that I have got in the past 12 months
I was lucky enough to detect alot.
at least per week.
the explorer has given me the best finds since I started detecting. Having started with a bounty hunter then a xlt spectrum and a garret 550.
then in aug 2003 I got the minelab.
I did OK with the xlt it has a good target ID and pinpointing is easy, But no coins deeper than 8"
It was also a little heavy and not as well ballanced.
The Garret was good on gold but the bell tone for coins were a little anoying, you seamed to need to sweep twice befor it would Id solid.
After seeing A guy in a park with an explorer digging
9-12" targets, At witch I could only detect about 8" with the garret. I then decided to try the Explorer. The rest is History.

Excellent Don, excellent. You've done real well with that Explorer. Getting a new machine that goes deeper and rehunting areas you thought were hunted out is awesome, eh? Like a whole new ballgame. Glad to see you got the picture thing worked out...it was worth the wait! <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">
