Thought an update was in order....

Y'all know I have been praying for GOD's will about my schooling and today I got an answer. It was not what I wanted, but I will accept it and keep working. I did not get accepted into the Dental Hygiene program. 102 people applied and only four were accepted. I was number five on the list. I know that being number five is quite an accomplishment, but it doesn't change the fact that I was almost there. Good news is....I will surely get accepted next year when I apply and I could still get in if someone backs out. I am thankful that through all this, GOD has shown me that this is really what I want to do. That in itself is a blessing because I am the most indecisive person on the planet Thank you all for your prayers!! I will continue taking general education classes while I wait.

Praise God, Liz, for giving you direction for your life and now with taking classes and knowing you are very bright and in line for the Dental Hygiene Training, you will be able to wait more patiently and making decisions while enjoying your family before you are so busy that you won't be able to see how fast time is flying by! When you get my age you will know and understand what I mean! I turn around in Jan and before I know it it is December! LOL! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Thanks DK, That is exactly what I keep telling myself. It's hard because I am impatient, and I just don't like waiting once I make up my mind to do something.

Ma-Don't I know how time flies. I can't believe my little girl will be starting school next year. Ya know, I have been praying to have more time to spend with her this last year before she starts kindergarden and I think GOD answered my prayer. I will have a year before I can apply for the program again.

Rick-It's a good thing I'm hard headed, I just can't give up!

I know you were disappointed, but hang in there. I've been wanting to find another teaching position and have been looking for one for a couple of years now. Very frustrating to not be doing what you love to do.

Thanks Lisa. I know things will work out as they should. It's kinda been heartbreaking. For the first time in my life, I feel like I have worked as hard as I possibly could and it just wasn't good enough. Boo! Sorry you are having such a tough time finding a job....I think it would be even worse to be qualified and educated and nor be able to find something.

When I graduated from HS my grades were too bad to get into college but I went to night school for a year and then got in once I proved I could do it.

Glad you got your answer. Often our Lord answers my prayers with a closed door. Thats when I run into problems, like does this mean I wait or that the answer was NO.

Yeah, I'm qualified and have the experience, but haven't been able to find another teaching position after I had to take some time off to help with my parents. Right now I'm stuck working at a hotel. You're right! It is very frustrating to have the education, qualifications and experience, and NOT be able to find a job! I miss teaching soooooooooo much. Education is in such a mess right now. Teachers and programs are being cut, instead of added.
