What a man is contributes much more to his happiness than what he
has, or how he is regarded by others.

Its been said that a man is defined by his job. It is like if he has no 'job' he is lost - feels useless. But if he has a job 'he knows who he is and feels useful because he contributes something back to family and society.

When we look at ourselves, we need to look beyond 'our job' to define who we are and if we contribute. I think we need to realize who we are - in Christ.

In Christ, I am redeemed. In Christ, when I am weak He is strong. In Christ, I am a son of the living God. In Christ, I am an heir to the kingdom. In Christ, I am part of the Body of Christ.

These are much more important to know who a man is than being defined by a job. I know many police officers who others see and that say 'that is who he is...he isn't a guy who goes off to work...he is a police officer - that's who he is, that's what he is made of.'

Thank God for us who are In Christ. My prayers for those who do not yet know the Love of God. May the come to the knowledge of how great this love is, and how much love Jesus had for us too. In Jesus name, Amen.
