I went to a place I high graded for quarters this spring was it?, I got like 9 bucks worth in a few hours then? ...it was full of coins, so this am I figured I'd go back and get the dimes and whatnot...so I set myself on "zeek" time, going easy and really listening. Even with the big coil, a guy can pick through the trash, but I bet that little 5 would be a lot better in this situation. One penny is a 57 wheatie, and one quarter is a 76 bicentennial, (i like those) Dont know if the ring is silver, its not marked, but came in high, like a Q, and one of the stab marks from the probe scratched it and it looks good, I also found some unattended crabapple trees and loaded up a windblown plastic shopping bag that are easy to find at any fence. i will make some great jelly outta them...anyway, it was 57 degrees and a stiff wind, just perfect for what we love to do! Cant wait to see how Zeek does today, he will be able to stay out and hit it hard in this nice weather. HH

Great hunt Mud. You will have to teach me to do that Zeek stuff?
Mud I think we are all out there stumbling around. I still think the main thing to metal detecting is just enjoy and have fun.
I learned something from my grandson this morning as I watched while he was playing with action figures. He talks to himself and is engaged fully in what he is doing.
So that is what I did this morning when I went out detecting. I talked to myself (sang and giggled) and engaged fully in what I was doing. Finding each coin was a joy. Time flew by. HH... Happy Trails....Z

i do that just to keep the public away from me sometimes the wife too

Geese, I thought everyone talked to themselves and sang while detecting. Hmmmmm, strange glances and people keeping their distance? HH jim tn
