of the old homeplace we were detecting before cold weather set in. Only things found so far is a 1922 V nichol, a 1945 merc dime, a 1944 french frank, a pair of old gold rim glasses and a big bunch of trash. The house and church (same property) dates back to the early 1700s. History of the site says that Col Garfield camped on the land for a week during the civil war. The town of Louisa Ky which is about 10 miles north had a union fort overlooking the town. We couldn't do much detecting because the new owner was landscaping the property, but we have full permission to detect anytime we want. Hope to find a lot of goodies. Thats me beside the old crypt I found on the hill over looking the house. The other guy beside the house is one of my tectin buddies David Cook.
with your buddy and I hope and pray the ground produces lots of oldie goodies for you!
God Bless! Betty
