We are in the 60's with lots and lots of rain! Tornado watch and warnings out until 7:00 pm with flooding in MO and IL ! Wanda, our sister-in-law, took our sister, Carolyn, back home to New Burg and Wanda was back home in St. Louis before the heavy rains set in! Ground and the street was flooding because the sewers couldn't empty the water fast enough! Ponds and lakes in yards and Common Ground, but since the rain has stopped or slowed down, they are already receding and street is just wet now!

But heard a cold wave is coming through and may be snow Sunday, tomorrow! Sooooo, if we want the weather to change, we just wait awhile and it does! Hope all had a nice Christmas with lots of neat gifts! I rec flannel pjs (much needed...for God provides) and 2 Gaither CDs plus sweets! Cliff rec a nice soft Jacket and 2 nice shirts and sweets! He is really pleased!

May the New Year be better than we might even hope it will be! God Bless! Betty

ride it out. Weather will always be changing everywhere sooner or later. We are to be at 26 tonight but then warming up. Stay safe, steve in so az

The rain helped get rid of a lot of snow that accumulates. Ice dams caused problems at the hotel and even the melting snow turned to ice around light fixtures outside...4 or 5 are off the building now as the large ice attached to them collapsed under the rain and took the lights with them.

We had a dry year a couple years ago, then lots of rain last year helped to make up some of the low water table and this year...well, we don't have to worry about running out of water with the snow we have had and the rains we are getting now. I just hope I don't have to go to work in the morning when it starts snowing and blowing to put ice melter on the walks. I think with the weather the way it is church will be called off tomorrow.

Stay dry and keep warm and don't go out unless you have to. May God keep us all safe if we do have to travel at all.

we had an 80 degree change in a week? - 20 last week and 60 today! :surprised:
Flood warning all over, after 40" of the white stuff melted in 24 hours and a ton of rain!:surrender:

Thanks Mike (Chgo) and everyone....sounds like most are in the same weather conditions as MO! It dropped from the 60's down to the 30's as night came yesterday! It's colder but no snow and it is sunny today with no rain either! Cliff and I don't go anywhere unless we have to do so...cold weather too difficult for him to get out in but I take him to see the dr and I've been going shopping by myself which makes it easier on me! God Bless! Betty
