Jim, I live in a town of 600, and you could almost hit my house with a rock from the spot where I found it. In retrospect, I know I should have grabbed those but when I saw the word "DOLLAR" on the only part of the coin showing through the dirt, adrenaline took over..ha-ha!
 
I will never forget when and where i dug my first, and only, silver dollar. Which, btw was also a Franklin.
I hope you didn't scratch yers too bad when ya whiped the dirt off.
