thought it was tungsten carbide

Found this large man's ring at the water/ line high tide...it was heavy and had a strong target sound. ...no markings...concluded that maybe the metallic content was tungsten carbide..it had such a dark hue to it..and I couldn't remove any of the surface.....took it to the jewelers for analysis....diagnosis: silver!

I saw a portion of it cleaned and shined...what a difference! The jeweler is cleaning and shining the remaining portion..I will post the "finished product " when I get it back from the jeweler next week ( I hope)..in the meanwhile ...here are pics of the ring on the day I found it.

Thank you for looking
