Three batteries...still worked!

This is weird.
About a week ago I was down to one bar on my battery level on my F70 so I replaced all four batteries.
Went on a short hunt and then a longer one the next day with a friend for about 4-5 hours.
On that second hunt I noticed I was down to one bar again which is strange, this thing usually just sips power and I can go way longer without seeing one bar fall off the battery icon.
I figured maybe I got some old batteries or something but during both hunts I saw no strange behavior...depth was great, no extra jumping chatter or anything else.
Before my next hunt I got four new batteries and I was going to change them all out but when I opened up the unit I saw two batteries in one side but only one in the other.
WTH?
I have now idea how this could have happened or how I could have done this without noticing...but I did.
I threw another battery in there and got full bars again and after a 4 hour hunt I still have full bars.
Evidently even wounded these things can still perform.

I post this at the risk of being made fun of forever more but if you can't laugh at your own stupidity in this world who can you laugh at?

I don't mind giving others a smile at my expense either. Sometimes things just happen. It is interesting that it ran with three batteries. HH!!

YEP,thats how it all starts when getting old,it starts creeping up on you pretty soon it becomes more frequent and worse , me at 76 everything breaks down.Thats part of life and it does not get better

Word is the F Series is so deep...........you don't even need to turn them on. Or maybe you are just a "high energy" guy?
( funny though..........saw a guy out with a willow "wishbone" limb, had a 9 volt on it...........guess the headphones were wireless as I didn't see them plugged in)
