Three ring bullet

Lawn dog

New member
I live in central N.J., near the shore I just found a three ringer. Is this rare? It was found in a park behind a Mc donalds. I usually find clad and a little silver, in this park.

Hey Lawn dog, it was nice running into you yesterday. Happy to see you've found a three ringer. There are some real helpful folks here who can help id the bullet, but I'd guess it would be civil war era. Please post some pics so others can help. Got out this afternoon before the heavy rain and may post this evening, a brass buckle, dog/vet tags, wheatie & last Sundays '42 qtr.

Congrats Lawn dog. Love to see some pix. Cool that you ran into Ken.

Thanx for then positive feedback guys. Couldn't believe it. I was getting a 38-39 would have bet $ that it was silver. It was deep like 9-10" rite where the good silver usually is.

Forum kinda loses a lot when you hear about finds and no one posts an image...
