 Lovin my New Se Pro- Stock 11" DD coil works great too.

So far Found a 1989 Class ring, 49 Quarter, Large Token not yet able to read whats on it, and a belt buckle that was 10" to 12" in the ground.

Machine is deep, and very stable. Very impressive depth. Just knew I would find a Minelab I liked if I kept trying them.

The SE is great, but wait until you try the Etrac. Very sensitive and deep also, alittle more I think but I still hunt with my SE with the pro coil on because Im comfertable with it.

Glad to see you are back on the Minelabs Elton. You wont regret it.

Thanks Montanagold This Se Pro is one good detector !!

It seems deeper and more stable that the E I had.. This thing goes deep.

I found a keeper.

Good to hear you've got a winner Elton. Are you like me? I've tried a bunch of detectors over the years finding what works best for me. That Pro coil is something else isn't it. I put one on my Explorer II and couldn't believe the difference/ I thought my original Explorer coil was working pretty good but the Pro coil would run at higher sensitivity levels , seemed to have better target separation and was quieter. Good luck with your SE, you are getting off to a good start.

XS, Exp II, Etrac, V3, Fisher F75 T2 and others.....................On a whim I got a Se pro..Wow..what a difference this detector is from the other Minelabs..Better Balance, Less weight, More stability, really deep target hits, and the separation in trash isn't anything to sneeze at either. I like it much better than the Etrac even though some say the Etrac is the ultimate machine.. I guess personal preference plays in to the factor.

It just seemed to work well on the git-go. I noticed no stress on arm and shoulder, hitting good depth targets, and able to pinpoint with ease.
It has either been changed from prior Minelabs, or I got a good one with everything working in harmony.

I have to add this.. I did read Andy's book several times, noted some of the top guns settings , and noise cancelled a lot while hunting with the Se..this may have made the difference in my attitude toward this machine. I read his book over several months before the purchase..and the detector seemed familiar to me before using it. I wasn't afraid to try different settings while actually detecting and had a basic understanding of what I was changing. If it didn't work I changed it till I found what was working. I do want to say the Se changed with the adjustments, and performed well. I can't say that happened with the Etrac..It seemed the more I changed on the Etrac the more lost I became. Oh well, who really knows why.........I just know it works, I like it, and that means I will use it.

I'm with you EL , the SE is a great machine , the Pro coil rocks and Andy's book has been a tremendous help to me also . Nice going on your finds !!

Last night I went to a heavy trash area and pulled Wheat's at 4 and 5 inches ( No Silver) that were solid readings of 4-25 with trash in the hole. I heard the rusty caps, but could hear the higher tones easily mixed in and isolate by doing a little wiggle with the coil. Once trash was dug out the signal was solid on the Wheat's. Pretty darn impressive for separation if you ask me. I do not seem to be getting any false signals with nothing in the hole like I did with the Etrac.

Glad your lovin that new machine :) I think you stated the KEY diffrence..You alrdy knew how to use that machine before you got it..I think if you would have studied the E-Trac and used the emulator for awhile before your purchase..You may of had a Better ride.Either way i have both machines and i think they are Both Awesome! They both seem to get the same depth,I like the New features on the E-Trac alot tho..SE is for sale/trade on a Excal 2 soon as i can sell or find one :) Look forward to some pics of your Finds...Good Luck HH

Nice ring! Still haven't unearthed a class ring. Any initials in it?

Regarding your banning from eHarmony: Like my ol' pappy used to say "A faint heart never filled a flush!"
