Since Field Testing the first series of the X-TERRA, I've gathered and compiled an extensive amount of information about understanding their functionality and applying it. A couple of years ago, I had some "interested parties" ask if I would be willing to compile that information into book form so they could publish it. I felt confident that folks could benefit from having access to the information. But before finalizing a publishing agreement, I had ONE "stipulation"..... it had to be FREE to those wanting to read it. I didn't expect to be paid for writing it and it just didn't seem right that a publisher would make money by selling it. As you can imagine, the previously mentioned "interested parties" quickly lost interest. As I continued compiling information, I kept searching for someone who would honor my "stipulation".

I am excited to report that Minelab has agreed to publish my X-TERRA information as an "ebook" and will make it available FREE on their website. The folks at Minelab are currently in the process of putting it all together. (adding pictures, diagrams, etc.) When that process is completed and the ebook is "released", I will post the link on this forum.

Thanks to those who encouraged me to write an X-TERRA book. And special thanks to Minelab for making it available for folks to read.

That is really awesome of both you and Minelab. To be that generous and kind in this day and age is unbelievable and speaks volumes about both your character and the kind of company Minelab is. Can't wait to go over all the information you have compiled, know that it has taken a lot of hard work, time and effort on your part to do so. Thanks so much, Mtnmn

That sounds absolutely top notch!. I was only thinking the other day that the X-terras could do with a book to enhance the users understanding.

Well done TomB, thats a very admirable stipulation......we could do with more people with your attitude this side of the pond!

In my decision to buy the X70 and as my instruction manual when I finally did, I used your articles
"Understanding the X-Terra" and "Coin shooting with the X-Terra 70" as my Bible for the machine.

They were and are invaluable to me.

I found a real nice 1901 S a couple years ago. Maybe this will be the year for the 16D??? HH Randy
