Thursday evening hunt

Hit some plowed fields that I have hunted a couple times before. Didn't find a lot but Dan an I both found an IH and he got a CW store card in rough shape. I also found this tiny domed eagle button. It has no back but has Excelsior below the eagle. I know that is the NY moto. Anybody know if this is military/CW?

Hi- My grandfather gave me an identical NY Civil War button. Caful, that gold will come off if u try too hard to clean it!
