Here are results from an all morning hunt. The big silver colored ring (Pic 3) had me hoping until I put it on my trusty Mizar Gold Tester. It hit exactly where a big gold ring should have hit on my GTI 2500. Looked a lot nicer when it needed cleaning up. The gold colored ring is marked India so I knew immediately it was junk. I think both of the earrings are 925 but only one is marked as such way. Found about 6 inches apart on top of the grass. There was lots of other interesting finds. Interesting to me anyway. The SBA dollar was 5" deep and is by far the most I've had to dig for a dollar coin. Most of my other dollar coins have come from bark chips. Also a 1990 UK 5p coin and a 1970 Bermuda 5 cent coin. I love finding foreign coins! I am wondering how Ian doesn't dig 5p coins as it hit right where a lot of gold jewelry hits. Check out the white coins. Must have been when they were painting lines on the field. It was a nice coin spill and my first target. 2 quarters, 1 dime, 1 nickel, and about 12 one cent coins. Down 4 inches deep. Rang up as zinc cent size C. I have gotten pretty good at figuring out the difference between a coin spill and a screw cap.
As promised, a picture of my free DVD premium from 5 months of collecting Pepsi screw caps. It took 90 of them to get the DVD. If you aren't doing the program you can PM me any codes you don't use. Please, no comments about my taste in television. I wasn't planning on collecting KotH on DVD but since it was free I figured what the heck. I got seasons one and two as Christmas gifts.
Thanks for looking.
