Tic Tic Tic....

Pete in MI

New member
Sherry got to her doctor appointment and was told "you are a ticking time bomb!"

Other tests should have been done and weren't. When I requested to have her sent to another hospital with more technology the request was refused. Sherry was told that what she has is an aneurism. The doctors at the hospital should have done a second Catscan and an MRI and most of all the other testing the other hospital would have done is one they could have done there and that is called an MRA. What we were told about the "worst headache ever" is ALWAYS a brain aneurism...just as I had mentioned in the beginning. "The symptoms are classic and textbook and should not have been overlooked by the doctors" the doctor told us today.

Sherry is going to get the MRA as soon as we can get it done. The doctor also told us if she has a recurrence to tell the ambulance to take her to Saginaw, MI not back up to Grayling as the best doctors are in Saginaw.

So now we sit poised on the edge of our seats ... tic tic tic.

Please pray for Sherry.

Something to keep in mind, there was (and may still be) within the medical profession that if a doctor can get by without doing a test, it saves the insurance company or hospital money. That saved money is split up and the doctor gets a part of it...so why would a doctor not want to do a test...to put money in his wallet. The love of money.

...I have to agree with you about the medical profession. Remember the hippocratic oath that used to hang in the doctors office? When was the last time you saw one of those?

who have not walked in our shoes. Being on the edge again and again is hard, very very hard. For Sherry, I guess it is a win-win situation. If the medical profession succeeds in keeping her with me, she will have me with her for a long time. If not and she passes away, Sherry again wins as she will be with the Lord in short order.

The number of times I have thought she would burst internally and lose her was too many times. Probably making this more difficult is that my mother passed away from an aneurism and she was 42 at the time.

Thanks for your support Doug as I know right now you have your own things going on as well. Keeping you all in my prayers.

and will continue!

Pete, I am so sorry that you and Sherry go through so many trials, which doesn't seem fair, but earthly life isn't fair while our eternal life through Jesus Christ is just and fair with no more pain, sickness or sorrow! I will still be praying for Sherry, a special prayer, and for all of you! May the Lord's healing, loving and comforting touch be upon her with a miracle of being made well and whole! Amen!

God Bless!

Betty, there is a movie called "Straight Talk" with Dolly Parton. She starts out as a dance instructor but spends most of the instruction time just standing and giving advice to other people. Later in the movie she is mistaken for a talk radio Doctor of Psychology and is put on the air. She is a hit....she is called Dr Shirley.

One advice she mentioned was

Thanks Pete! I think I saw that movie with Dolly Parton! But I've heard others say the same thing! Unless we persue happiness through Jesus Christ, most won't ever be happy no matter how much riches they have! Some are so unhappy and trying to fill the emptiness inside of them that they spend money on clothes, cars, vacations, furs, diamonds, Whiskey and Drugs but are still unhappy.....only the love of Jesus within us makes a person be filled with joy unspeakable and full of glory! Our leaders in Gov't sure aren't fair.....too much greed and sinfulness in too many of them!

Well, I'll get off my soapbox now and say God Bless and wait for a good report concerning Sherry!

Pete,

I, too, know what it is like to walk through many trials and to be on the edge. I sometimes feel that I have had waaaaaaay more than my share and that it isn't fair. Just know that I have prayed for you and Sherry, and will continue to do so.
