Well boys, I couldn't let a nice warm morning slip by. I've been travelling a lot and getting the dreams at night about where to hunt, and reading your posts for encouragement. It was in the upper 40's and I had to go! Googled earth some new ground and saw some brand new totlots hidden behind a new school bordered by a subdivision. Thats where the rings, chain, and most of the clad came from...hit an older football stadium and behind some basketball courts, soccer fields, in the mud for the rest. 4 hours with the F70 running a higher sens than usual, 75... hit a quarter over 8" deep solid, nice damp chips, not frozen yet, and easy kickin' or stabbin' with the screwdriver. The 14k was tucked up under some of those metal noodle poles that are about a foot off the ground, now that really throws some stupid signals being that close to the coil, but I heard the faint low grunt of the ring luckily...I sure love sweepin' totters! Its so easy and even if they have been swept recently, lots of stuff gets missed. Hope everybody is out, especially Zeek, the freeze is gonna get to him just a few hours before it gets to me!
