Simply use a nickel,turn up till the signal starts to disappear then turn back down slightly to a good heavy hit in both directions. You won't miss silver or gold that way.John

Thx John, I was wondering what the ed range was in disc mode , If it hits hard on small gold would it be close to the compadre
It will pick up SMALL non-ferrous targets with no problem in fresh water.
