Tiger's coil cover

John (Ma)

New member
I finally took my new Tiger Shark hunting today and I couldn't keep the coil cover on it as it would keep falling off. Any ideas? Thanks

My two cents: Naked coils is how I hunt the sand and water.

Ever since I had some black sand get into a coil cover and just killed detection of nickles with the CZ that I was using at the time, I've taken the coil covers off nearly all my coils. Most coils hold up well and if they are starting to wear due to coil scrubbing, a coat of marine epoxy keeps you in business for quite a while.
