Hi all I'm just posting here in 2009 so I can come back next week and tell you all about my best find.

Having been into detecting back in the 1970s and not doing anything with detecting again unil the 2000s, my first time back out detecting was down in Lansing, MI. I had bought an old Garrett American S-2 off of eBay and was not overly impressed with the unit as it hurt my hand just to hold it but it was the best I could afford at the time. Went to a small park and had hopes of silver and gold. Instead my first find was this bottle cap off some beer I had never heard of in my life:

Usually I never liked bottle caps but this one is special since it had my name on it "Pete's".
