The next few days...and maybe more... we are looking at wind chill temperatures down to 20 below zero. Please pray for those who for whatever reason have no heat or will have no heat during this period. Pray for those animals that are out in the cold...those not domesticated will probably know to seek shelter...those owned by people who are ignorant leave their animals outside in this cold, they cannot seek shelter especially when chained up.
So pray for the cold snap to be short, God to meet the needs of those who are or may be out of heat and for those poor animals.
Thank you.
Also asking for prayers for a situation I have heard about...how true it is I am not sure but it is for a young girl living down on the end of our street. Casey has talked to her on the bus or at the bus stop. Seems she has had a rough life...in an out of foster homes and now living with her Mom whom she had never met until they moved up here...that is heartbreaking enough but add to the mix these things...the Sheriff Dept has been at that house on several occasions...never seen anyone except a woman outside the house...and the kicker is that Casey told us that the girl living there had told her that her step-dad, because she was crying, held a gun to her head and told her to stop or he'd blow her head off.
I don't know how true all this is but please pray for the young girl. Pray the girl will find peace in Jesus and in a home environment where she is truly loved. I will be discussing this with the Sheriff or State Police Domestic Abuse Team on Monday. Being rumors, hand me down comments, I don't know how much the police will be able to act. If the step-dad is under house arrest and he has a gun on the premises, and has indeed threatened this girl, I hope the police will put him where he belongs...in a federal prison.
Thanks all for your prayers.
