tips for new owner of vx3

Hi folks I am looking for some tips for my new machine, I am upgrading to a vx3 from mxt pro. Some back ground on me been hunting for 4 years, Started with f2 and compadre. I hunt olf east coast farms and cellar holes 90% and salt beach 10% I am lucky to have family owned house on NJ shore.

I wanted something to help cut through salt beach and still be able to hunt dry land. I will not be working deep water. lol that rouge wave will get me thats my luck lol I am looking for some tips,I am used to simple knobs of the MXT. Also whats is your favorite coil.

Thanks Koz

Koz,

I use the VX3 built-in programs which were developed by experienced experts at Whites. I also recommend using the ground balance feature before starting your search. I suggest you purchase the Whites Detech 13" Ultimate DD coil which has outstanding performance. I have had the best luck on the East Coast beaches. I enjoy finding coins and rings, the Detech coil does not miss what many other coils do. Good luck!

I would suggest to see some of Fox's programs for the beach. I believe he hunts Florida beaches if I am not mistake. His programs are pretty hot, ie., high gain and such, but you can do this on beaches.
