I must say, I dont dirt dig much as I only live 2 miles from the beach. I can vividly remember each gold ring I found in dirt. Back in my newbie days, I didnt have a meter.I believe I made reference to trying this in high mineral dirt could not be reliable. As the ID of targets gets compromised.
Not all folks have high soil mineralization.
Folks just try this if they like.
They can even check the targets like I show in the videos and then proceed to dig. Do you see a pattern?
There are things thst are desirable (non ring shaped) that will report in gold ring range. Some folks may be a dig everything kind a person.
I have no problem with such people.
There may be some though who are older, have physical problem(s) preventing them from digging all.
There may be some folks who would want to try and screen there targets before digging to dig less junk.
Notch can still be used with this process. Also good thing is to use audio response setting to make more shallow targets sound louder vs the deeper ones. These shallower ones I would say this process more reliable. Audio response 0 or 1 might be a good starting point.
Can slaw shallower can wear a persons out, So can shallower bigger foil.
Keep your time spent sweeping looking for those signals that behave as ring shaped vs a person digging all the junk may indeed up their odds of finding a ring.
Not many competitor units/coils out there can do what I showed with the videos. May not even be one other.
Don’t expect to dig much foil, can slaw, small aluminum, brass, small lead.
Now the deeper targets I wouldn’t even check. Either dig or walk. Here you may indeed dig junk or nice find.
Some folks may not have much time to detect. This may be the way they want to go.
This process not meant to be used in all sites.
If one needs iron tone sweeping target = don’t do the test I show in this video. Either just dig or walk.
If one using higher single freq sees id drop quite a bit vs what 89 kHz and reflects when sweeping this suggest small masker, the tests I show should not be done unless the masker is removed. If not removed a user will either just dig or walk, their choice.
Can slaw multiplies like rabbits with spring and summer mowing and the wind can bring it into sits too.
Freshwater beach hunters may indeed benefit as well using this process with this coil.
Another nice thing about using this process. One can run somewhat lower notch and check some of the lower ID signals where the smaller rings may indeed exist. Lot of folks detecting with other units may indeed be using disc or notch trying to dodger more of the pesky trash. It may be this range where the most gold rings are in already harder hunted site. Where folks just left them due to ID they have.
I don’t know how low exactly one could get for I.d of an even smaller shallower gold rings, or platinum ring for thst matter. If I had to mske a wager. I would say somewhere around 37 on Deus 2 29 kHz max freq band Chanel 0.
Also remember shallower rings will tend to read about 4 plus point higher using 89 kHz band channel 6 vs 29 kHz MF band channel 0.
Hence a user could hunt a place running about 3-4 points higher notch using 89 kHz band channel 6 and not have to screen as many targets. Using the 29 kHz channel 0 and at least 88. 3 kHz single freq.
Also remember this. The more junk targets you can leave in a public detected site the better while hoisting the ring shaped or indeed rings. Meaning others using other model detectors must dig these junk targets. Hence you are keeping them busy. Hence they may not get the chance to actually swing their coil over a ring and dig. And you the hf2 coil user may indeed find at some point later.
