First off...ONE GREAT IMPROVEMENT is a replacement for my 1992 vintage SS scoop.
Wieght of SS with 54” handle:5# 0oz
Weight of Titanium with 54” handle: 3# 11oz
My old SS scoop with SS tube handle: 7# 15oz
I now carry about 3 ¼ pounds less weight from now on. (more energy left to carry gold)

I made a 20degree spacer for the handle’s screw from a nylon wing nut. This puts a more even tension on the screw head. The one shown is crude at best but it will do for today.
