I have being playing with an TM-808 for the past couple of days and there is no doubt that this detector can find very deep large metal items.
It will even respond to aussie 20cent coins and steel bottle caps if the coil is held an inch or two above the ground.
Detected one large item that when using the operating instruction procedure, worked out to be approx 4 foot x 4 foot and around 4 to 5 feet deep.
I have neither the time, inclination or motivation to try and recover the item plus the park rangers would take a dim view of my rocking up with a Bob Cat and Back hoe.
