Hmmm, it's been a while since I've posted on this forum. However, I'm ready to get back into it, so, I have a special request...
.......My 11 year old daughter Sandy is looking for a overseas or an American penpal to write by snail mail. She is looking for a girl that can write in English ( I probably couldn't find a translator for another language anyway ) to converse with the ol' fashion way ( by mail ) before the internet was invented.
I told my Sandy I would ask here on this website, since there is a lot of great folks here. I also told Sandy I wouldn't allow her to email anyone or fool with chatrooms on the internet. ( The internet will only be used to get the girls started ) I'm smart enough to keep a password engaged on this ol' computer so my kids cannot use it. Possibly she can someday after she establishes a contact by regular mail for 11 months to a year from now. The purpose is to find a new friend to write via mail. My Sandy is excited about this & will write the participating individual everytime a letter comes here. ( Sandy is a Christian girl----she attends a great Nazarene Church )
Sandy is interested in a 11-12 year old girl to exchange photos, pictures of their hometowns, pets, & anything else 11-12 year girls would like to talk/write about.......especially someone from another country or a U.S. state. ( We are in Ky ) The girl don't neccessarily have to like metal detecting because Sandy doesn't detect very much anyway. Who knows.....maybe she can find someone she's interested in writing & eventually get the chance to meet someday........probably long after I'm dead! LOL
Does anyone have a 11-12 year old grand-daughter, relative, someone at church, or a neighborhood kid that would love to exchange letters by mail with an 11 year old American girl from the midwest?? ( Girls only, no boys )
If so, let me know by email & I'll give you (or the girl) our P.O. Box mailing address & they can get started. Sandy is willing to write her first if she can find someone interested.
