To all you smart guys on this forum : what does "REM-UMC NO16 SHURSHOT signify on this find..looks like a button to me, but I think not..

I think it must be a bullet..but why would a bullet have a felt -like material on the opposite side?

Can't figure this one out..would appreciate some info.

I broke the sharp , delicate wooden tip.... it looked like it was shaven down to a point like a pencil and pushed into the metal piece.I am unable to separate the wooden piece from the metal; it looked to me like some type of projectile...like some sort of makeshift arrow...I threw it away...have no idea what it is
