To get the most out of your F19

Let it be. Keep the coil on the rod. Everything works perfectly together.

I agree. But I did buy the 5"dd for tight spaces. It works well on the f19. But 90% of the time I think the stock coil does the job.

Unless you're hunting the dry beach sand. Then the 11" Bi-Axial coil is a much better choice than the standard coil for depth and coverage. The Nel 12.5" Hunter and the 13" Ultimate coils are also great beach coils if you don't mine the added weight.

Whatever you do, Don't use the 11" coil on any plowed farmland, or unplowed for that matter!:nono:

I'm confused. What do you think is the best coil for the f19 on my highly mineralized south idaho soil?

Why not??---Your reasoning for that statement?

Yes, Why Not? :that statement doesn't make a whole lot of sense without a reason behind it.

Okay, I want in on this as well, why not use the 11" in plowed or unplowed fields?

Sarcasm. There's absolutely no reason to not use the 11" coil anywhere you have lots of area to cover. I made the statement that the 11" was a great coil to use on the beach and Garry responded that he didn't have any beaches near him. My original comment was on woodchiphustler's post "Let it be. Keep the coil on the rod". The three Fisher coils made for the F19 all have their place. The standard coil is a great "all around" coil but in some environments, the 5" and the 11" do a better job.

I'm glad that is cleared up. I'm a very sarcastic person. But sarcasm can be harder to recognize in print. Facial expression and voice tone are missing in print.
