this one seems to work for me if yer intrested: I've come to find out that it's mostly preferences, site conditions, ground conditions, and what yer lookin for but this seems to be a good all-rounder for me. aside from a few adjustments depending on said circumstances. I use a modified minelab coinmode pattern. edited to accept top right corner line, where some of the larger coins hit. (also i've noticed some falsing in this sector of the screen, which could be why it's edited out, but it's easy to recognize) after accepting the top right line in the edit pattern I use normal mostly. I use multi conductive tones W/ max variability and max limits. threshold pitch set to 5 increasing threshold pitch causes tones to become more flutey. I try to use as few of the expert options possible. If i am expecting deep targets and there is few signals, i use deep on, fast off, low trash, ground neutral. unless there is falsing from too high sensitivity, then i change ground to difficult before lowering sensintivity. If I am targeting surface signals in a trashy yard or park, i turn fast on, deep off, high trash, neutral ground to start unless there is much falsing. I start out with noise cancelling in maxx manual sens and adjust from there. never had to go lower than 24 which is plenty of power. seldomly use auto. I use normal pinpointing . while in the detect screen, press the detect button to make the numbers large and the graph small( numbers seem to update quicker like this) now go to menu and go to user modes, save, select blank slot or overwrite an existing program and there ya go! hope i didn't leave anything out, I'm still new to this thing myself but like I said it's mostly individual preference. The etrac is still going to do what it was designed to no matter what settings are. which is detect metal objects in the ground. minelab has just given us plenty of options to make it truly our own personal machine. I'm going to use Niel (slow n low) as an example(no offence) I can't stand those settings he uses, drives me absolutely bonkers! I did give it an honest try cause it seems to be working well for him, but for me and type of detecting i do, simply not gonna happen. So there ya go whoever out there, that's what i use and why, give it a try and love it or hate it, use it, change it. it's all up to you and that's the sheer awesomeness of the E-trac. HH DEAN
