Today....the real silver showed up.....nice ..after that "bogus" ring that I found yesterday..

all found at water's edge ..high tide...wet sand, except for 1944 quarter...found in dry sand.

close up of ring...this must be a verrrrrrrrry old ring...stamped"STERLING"...not .925 ; it is thick with tarnish...am cleaning it now...will post cleaned and shined photos later.

Good digs, bet the ring cleans up well. I agree with Theresa - wish we had an ocean nearby, Steve in (waterless) so az
 
If it is something valuable, I wouldn't know...but I think it is just a section of some bracket....again...I'm not "up" on those heavy metallic finds


It had a nice design, and some part of a Company name, but ..................that was about it...I threw it out.
