A few month's ago I was talking to a good friend of mine that MD's about how many silver coins we have found so I went back in to my records of all the coins I have found since I bought the Xterra 50 back in January 2006 "then about 4 years later it broke down and Minelab upgraded me to the Xterra 505" and at that time I had found 961 silver coins. Hmmm, I only need 39 more coins to hit 1000 so I have been on a mission the past few months to hit the 1000 mark and I hit it today with a really woren 1918 Mercury Dime. Yahooooo, I can't believe I found that many silver coins and the Xterra did a gr8 job at finding them along with the 10.5 MF DD coil that I bought in Aug 2006 and has been on the MDer 99% of the time.

Sat. I run in to a street tearout in a older part of town. They had alot of the grass tore up between the street and sidewalk so that was the area I hit. Sat. I worked 3 blocks, both sides of the street. I found a Merc, 2 Rosies, a IH, a piece of play money, a junk ring and 7 wheat's.

Sunday morning I went back to the street tearout and worked 4 more blocks and I only needed 4 more silver coins to hit 1000. I think I was in front of the third house when I found the Walker first and 2 rosies in the same hole. It was about a hour later when I found my 1000th silver coin and it was the 1918 Merc. I wanted to jump up an down an hoot an howler but I was not in the best part of town if you know what I mean and I did not want to bring any attention to me and that's why I was there EARLY Sun, morning, lol After that I found 2 tokens from the same Company but one was for 5 cent's in trade and the other was for 10 cent's in trade, that was kinda cool. then I found a nice 1920d Buff an just after that I found a real nice 1907 barber dime and the last good coin was the 1897 IH. I also found 15 wheat's and some other cool finds, I really like the old key.

The first 4 pictures are today's finds and the last pic is sat finds

Thanks for lookin guys

Awesome! Congratulations

Took that long! LOL
That's an outstanding accomplishment Mark. I'm honestly more than glad for you, WTG:clapping:
An average of 125 silver coins a year, that beats me by just 122,........ on a good year:lol:

Great accomplishment. HH Randy

Congratulations Mark!

I've been enjoying your posts for years and look forward to hearing about your 2,000th silver.

Keep 'em coming!

Excellent Mark! Congratulations on the milestone!

Job well done. You always amaze me at all that silver you find. I would like to hunt with you some day maybe you could teach me some things. Maybe I would find more silver if I didn't hunt civil war relics all the time too.

I would like to thank each and everyone of you guys that post on here. Over the years I have learned alot from your post and that has helped me in finding all the coins that I have found over the past 8 years and the Xterra has played a big past in that too.

Digger, Thanks for the tip you gave me several years ago on doing research. that helped me alot.....

Old Longhair, we may not always agree on things but I've learned a few things from you, thanks.

THANKS GUYS and keep posting to this great forum
