hit the old area in a lake this morning. Got two rings, a 44D wheatie, an antique spoon, two brass pieces for a chest with key holes in them, a toy car, some fishing stuff, a drowned watch, a sainless knife blade that I can use for electrlosis, 20 clad coins, and a MER"CUR"Y car part, and some doo-dads.

The one ring is a sterling band, and the other is a Jester ring from the 60's. I found it in the toy ring price guide.
No gold, but a little silver!

Nice finds and the silver is cleaned and shining brightly! You always do good though, so keep up finding the goodies! :) God Bless! Betty

Cool finds! Seeing that "CUR" makes me think of what my husband, Tim, calls mutt dogs... for some reason, he calls mutts and strays, "cur dogs." Don't ask me why! I'd never heard that term before I started dating him about 28 years ago... and never heard anyone else use it since!

They say cur dogs here in kentucky too. But then again I know a bunch of coon hunters .

Nice finds Mike...I've never seen a Jester ring.

I have heard that term refered to different coon dogs.

Well, he used to coon hunt many years ago. Maybe that's where he came up with "cur dog." But the coon dogs I know of are pure bred and expensive! He refers to mutts and strays as cur dogs. Hmmm... chances are, he doesn't have a clue what he's talking about... THAT seems to happen pretty often. ;-)
