Went out for a while with Dan, to some sites we hit off and on. We tried some new theories on where the goods hide. We must have walked 3 miles today and targets were far and few between. Didn't those farmhands lose any money??? :angry:Did manage two buttons and a nice rosette (missing the lead back) and an 1798 Large Cent. Weather was beautiful. Didn't want to quit, but until next time.:) HH

Thanks. Not a lot of targets there anymore, so I was glad to hit this one late in the hunt. Second 1798 to come out of there and the 16th copper. This site was the right time frame for large cents and colonial coins. I don't believe we hit the Indian Head cent era there. I like those sites best. I usually only detect once a week, so time is short. I'm having a pretty good year so far. Hope everyone is able to detect, as there is no more frozen ground where I am. HH

wow, nice haul, coinnut! i've been offline a few days, and couldn't help but seek out your post and admire your finds. your finds mirror mine, only i haven't found a 1798 large cent! great hunt, and hh!

Hey Ghost, Hope you are leaving some time to detect and take the work load off of your shoulders. I am getting ready to hunt my sister in laws, 1840 horse farm. Did OK the first time with the DFX, but this time I'm taking the E Trac along as well. Hope to have some coppers and some silver to show this Sunday night! Glad to hear from you. Keep an eye on that Echo chick, she's been getting out a lot lately!!:detecting: We''l have to limit her fun:rofl:

hahaha, yeah, i think your're right about that echo chick. gotta keep an eye peeled on her! i've been out every weekend, just need to get off my lazy butt and post the stuff up - it's a lot, too! fortunately, the workload is not that heavy right now. i have another hunt planned for this weekend too. good luck at your sister in law's, i just know yer gonna get some nice old coppers out of the deal. go get 'em, tiger! hh!
