Hit a BIG vacant lot this morning and my first target with my little sniper coil was a 1900 Indian head! Got some clad, but when the hunt was done I had 3 wheats also. 1909, 1941, 1944. Some doo-dads as well, and the FORD emblem in the other pic. On the way home we seen the Met Life blimp. When I got home the youngest wanted to go for a swim. Off we went with detector in hand! Other than a few clads I did nab a 24" necklace. The water was so warm I was surprised I didn't see some cooked fish floating by! :surprised: :lmfao:

Congrats on getting out :detecting: and on the finds! Enjoy the warmer water, for in a few months it will be cold again with ice and the white stuff and not much hunting to be able to do then! ;) May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Hi Mike; I'm not sure but it looks like that buckley you found is called a "SPECTACLE" buckle,!!!! I think yours is dated to the mid 1800's r so. That buckle was so popular that they used them from the1400's right up to the turn of the cenrtury. It is English in origin ok. Value is ?????? ok. To me that i the sweetest find there. Keep it up ok. PEACE:RONB

I have many of them. I like finding them and they come in many varieties

Congrats on those finds. I wanna know why you didn't bring the blimp home, too!

Lisa

It appears to be a stainless steel piece that goes on a grill.

I chased it for several miles, but it kept getting away!
