Here's a brass sunburst, a $100 peso coin - thought I'd hit the big one it was so golden, and a token from So Nevada that I cant make out.

Lastly, here's something I need help identifying. What does it say and what is it ? Steve in so az

The Territorial Seal (of Nevada) contained the motto, "Volens et Poten" which means "Willing and Able." In 1866 the motto was legally changed to "All for Our Country."
The language is French. Would guess it to be some sort of military badge but couldn't find anything other than the above in Google search.
Nice finds there Steve. Congrats and hope someone will be able to help ID that badge or medal.

Thanks Pete - the token I have pictured also is from Nevada & was dug in the same area - wonder if they were dropped by the same person ? Steve

...finds, Steve. The sunburst is cool looking. What is a $100 peso? What is it worth?
Doug

is worth nothing in the US - and very little in Mexico, if you can get someone to take it. They changed to bi-metal coins only some years back.
However, a peso is about 10 cents so it would be a dollar US. Also, in Mexico the $ sign they use does not mean dollar but it means peso. Steve in so az

I didnt teach math <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)"> The coin is a 10 dollar one. Steve
