Today's digs

Hit a few sites today, dug about 150 coins, no goodies. Gold & silver sure are getting hard to find, too much competition I think.

While neither of these are silver I want to point out that they were found way under the slide, could have been precious metals. Kids go there but adults usually dont. Steve in so az

With a load of coins like that, there must be a lot of activity there and not many people hunting. Sure looks like enough to wear you out after a day of hunting. Congratulations on the finds.

Now, Steve, you know what I mean about too much competition! But also with gold and silver up in price, there could be many selling what they have to buy all that gold priced stuff that isn't gold! Food and gas come first when you have a family and a job to go to everyday! If they sell it or can't afford to buy it, then they don't wear any to lose! :sad:

decline in gold finds here since last Dec. Like a brick wall. I think people are aware of the gold price and are caring for them more. Steve

S4G - yes, good eyes - a Mexican 25 cent piece. I have a bunch of them from this last 6 months or so. I take them every so often to the coin dealer who buys them from me. Steve
