Great day to be detecting. Upstate NY, no snow yet and 54 degrees today! These items are all from an old farm area. Found another Large Cent 1822 (and now my oldest coin), three Clad quarters and the one Lincoln Cent. Also found the piece of silver fork and some type of small compact-Rouge. Front says "House of Westmore Inc" and back "Made in USA" "Pepper Red". There is a hinge on side to open it (haven't tried to open yet) ,and next item is a Coin dated 1871 and I can see it has some stars going around outside of it. This coin read Nickle on E-II & was bent, I tried to fix and it broke. I got home and then found it was a coin with the hold cut in it. Last is The Rock. I got a great Silver hit and dug hole, and remove rock to see where coin was and sound was gone? Check rock and it was giving me the Silver sound! I have it home and for life of me can not figure it out!
This might be one of the last days, freezing rain and chance of snow tomorrow. HH
