Went to a 1700s town common all overgrown with trees and lots of trash. The ML 7.5 is still on my machine and am liking it. Good depth and all.
Target ID is a little wacky but thats a good thing. I find myself digging more signals than I would normally dig with the stock coil. A lot like buying a new machine.

Colonial Buckles ??? whats the disks - Coins ?? and the other spoon handle ??

The funny part is, I dig so many of these that I'd love to find the silver that some of you find.

I would love to find one of those old coppers.Going to get out a while in the morning and hope to have something to post.Good luck on your next hunt.

Hi Don,
Have you been out much this fall?
I'm still averaging about 1 good copper in 7 . Since I got robbed, I've dug 18 Large coppers.
Where I'd normally have dug 30. I slowed right down. Just haven't hit the right spots.
Headed back to the Field of Dreams one last time. Bringing 3 guys with me. Should be interesting. Probably won't find anything.

Nice going Bob; ~ boy the 1700's is getting back ...

I wonder how the trigger guard came to separate from the musket?
Result of a skirmish way back then?

You just never know what's going to turn up next !
Sorry to hear you were robbed.

....how deep were these items Bob? I'm thinking of going with the ML 7.5 also for Colonial stuff.

Mike (Boston)

The deepest was about 7"
Haven't had the coil long but am very confident with it.
