Todays finds from a friends shared site.

That belt buckle looks exactly like the one's worn by the pilgrams in pictures I've seen. Wish I lived farther East to have your opportunity. Excellent finds!!!

Have been out only 3 times since September 2 coppers in 3 hunts, about my average for our isolated little area. May not hunt much till late December, have a procedure on the back coming up after Thanksgiving, hoping that allows me more normal times ahead.

I am just curious Bob. What do you consider colonial? Whats the latest year coin you would consider colonial. Maybe my interpritation of colonial is too strict....My thought is anything before the first year of the large cents. I live in an area that settled in 1632 and of course there has been life here before that.....I find old coins but I would think it would be more....I don't get out as much as I should but it seems that there is not many places to go due to development and bulldozers.

Colonial coins and artifacts are just as you said. I may go a little farther and include the early large cents to 1808. Just because.
I've only found 2 coins that might date before 1700. And not positive about that.

Yeah the older they get the less you can get a date from them......Coppers that is....silver seems to be ok as long as it is not from the surf...from what I see the Mass. boys pulling in from the beaches. I so want to find a colonial Pine Tree or something of that nature.....but yeah I am sure it would be tough to see by the conditions it may be in what the heck it is......some dirt is better to old copper than others....well My oldest copper LC to date is 1824 and oldest silver is 1746.....and both are pretty good I think but not high priced coins.....no matter, it is just awsome to see them come out of the ground, lost many Moons Ago! I am not even sure if I have asked you what town of N.H.you are from.....I am in Rochester N.H.....lived in the general area since 1968 when my father retired from air force.....( AF Brat) This area is old and I got to get off my duff and go for it...anyway..thanks again for the response.....Wish you luck and HH from the Mattockman....:minelab:

We're almost neighbors. I live in Harrisville just outside of Keene.
My oldest silver is 1721 and oldest copper with a date is 1736.
Yes, a Pine tree shilling would be awesome.

Those are some old coins....Never heard of Harrisville but Keene I have...N.H. is not all that big so guess we are all neighbors here....well Bob if I ever find a Pine tree I will invite ya down to help me find the other one......wish you luck and maybe we can meet sometime and hunt for the oldies. They are here in these grounds just got to go for it...see ya.

I know you guys are sick of looking at it but she is so beautiful. From a good foot down.
