Went to some new places todayand found a handful of change all new except the one wheat pictured here. The question I have is this: Is there some sort of test kit to see if some of the finds are silver or gold (and not tin or stainless of brass)?

They seem a little pricey though. They look like the test kit's you get with swimming pools.
The folks on the Beach Forum's use them a lot since they find most of the goodies.
I have a jeweler who is a detectorist and a coin collector, as I am, so I just take my questionable finds to him for a quick look at no charge...
I usually wait until I need a few items as coin books, plastic rolls, etc. then take my finds in. He makes a few dollars on my purchases and I get some free advice on my finds.
