Today's Forum Hunt

Wanted to thank Mike and Greg for organizing the forum hunt today. My wife, Anna, and I have much fun. I found my first wheatie, 1930 and Anna enjoyed her first hunt ever. In fact, we will be purchasing her own detector soon. God blessed us with excellent weather and fellowship, a day we will remember fondly. Thanks again Mike and Greg. Also a shout out to some of the new friends we met today, another Mike, Jamie, Terry, and Chuck. I am sure I probably forgot someone, but that is more "oldtimer's disease" than anything else. I realize that it is not possible for many members of this forum to travel to Mi. for the hunt, but I urge any of those in close proximity to each other to get together. It is a lot of fun.

Glad you guys could make it. Congrats on the first wheatie! Hope we see ya tomorrow! :)

God bless!

Congrats to you and your wife for going to the forum hunt and glad you had fun and did some detecting! Yes, when the little woman gets her hands on a detector (yours  ) than ya gotta buy her one also! It happened to me when I had a try at :detecting: also! Had to have my own! :)

Hope ya both have lots of fun getting out and detecting when you can and find lots of coins and goodies!

God Bless!

Glad you both had a great time. We always do on those forum hunts. Just wish I could have made it down. I think Ohio is closer to Mike from MI and Greg MI than I am in upper lower Michigan.

Sounds like the little lady is hooked. Hey got a warning for ya. Remember how ya used to drive down the road and look at the beautiful scenery. Once hooked on detecting you'll be looking for old delapidated building, foundations, etc and wishing you could detect there. it happens...worse thing is ya drive by a real cool spot and you try to remember where it is, then you have 5 more places that whet yer whistle and by the time ya get home ya forgot where any of them were.

GPS units and/or a notebook helps.

It is already happening. We drive by an old house or barn and SHE says "I wonder what's buried there". She is hooked and already looking for places to go. We enjoy going together.
